"Orio" is a Bolgheri Rosso that showcases all the typical characteristics of the type: intensity, refinement, and class. It comes from a blend of international grapes grown on the sandy and clayey hills of the Bolgheri area. The rich, elegant, and balanced taste is preceded by a decidedly fruity bouquet with spicy echoes and hints of vanilla.

The wine "Orio" from Podere Il Castellaccio is a classic red from Bolgheri produced with great international varieties: Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Syrah.  A blend that expresses a great intensity of fruit, evolutionary maturity, elegant, soft, and enveloping notes. The French grape varieties have adapted very well to the Mediterranean and bright climate of Bolgheri, where thanks to the suited soils, always mild temperatures, and good ventilation, they manage to reach full ripeness with very rich and intense aromatic profiles.

The Red "Orio" is produced in the Bolgheri area, which extends from the Segalari hill almost to the famous Bolgherese road. The estate has a total area of fifteen hectares, covered by olive groves, vineyards, and woods. On the clay and sandy soils, the French grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Syrah have found an ideal habitat. The vines have an average age of about 20 years and are cultivated at an altitude of 150 meters above sea level. After the harvest, which takes place at different times according to the ripening of the individual varieties, the grapes are vinified separately with fermentation in steel and the use of only indigenous yeasts.ripening of the individual varieties, the grapes are vinified separately with fermentation in steel and the use of only indigenous yeasts. The wine then matures for 12 months in second and third passage French oak barriques before being blended and bottled.

The Bolgheri Red "Orio" combines the elegance and structure of Cabernet Franc, the velvety softness of Merlot, and the decisive and spicy character of Syrah, creating a wine harmonious and multifaceted, complex and intriguing. A label that, while starting from international grapes, has the merit of being able to convey the flavor of the land of Bolgheri, with its sunny and Mediterranean characteristics. In the glass, it has an intense red color. The bouquet is broad and complex, with aromas of small dark berries, ripe red fruit, herbal notes, vanilla, and oriental spices.
