The Bourgogne Rouge, an expressive and elegant wine crafted by the vigneron Sylvain Pataille, is an authentic interpretation of Pinot Noir from Burgundy. Initially rich with hints of red fruit, it later develops by breathing in earthy notes of autumn forest. On the palate, it evolves velvety, revealing great softness and refinement.

The Bourgogne Rouge by Sylvain Pataille is a velvety and succulent Burgundy red wine, an effective presentation of the noble productive spirit and the elegant style of this natural vigneron from Marsannay. It is a cuvée made from a blend of grapes from different vineyards scattered throughout the denomination, featuring old vines rooted in heterogeneous soils. In the field, the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture are applied, while the winemaking practice involves whole cluster fermentations, long skin macerations, minimal sulfur use, and prolonged aging before release.

Sylvaine Pataille Bourgogne Rouge represents a pure expression of Pinot Noir, cultivated in different parcels, some of which have old vines, on predominantly calcareous and clayey soils. After manual harvesting, the grapes are transferred to the winery where, in stainless steel and fiberglass tanks, whole cluster fermentation takes place, conducted by indigenous yeasts with about 3 weeks of contact between the must and the skins. Once this phase of the winemaking process is completed, the liquid is placed in barriques, where it rests for 24 months before bottling.

Intense the dark ruby-violet color of the Bourgogne Rouge by Sylvain Pataille. The aromatic profile is seductive, defined by fragrances of ripe raspberries, leather, forest leaves, and cherries. The mouthfeel is elegant, soft, and velvety, supported by juicy freshness and a fine tannic structure. A red capable of clearly demonstrating that the so-called entry-level wines truly and unmistakably represent the producer's touch, sublime in this case.
