Mesa winery's "Buio Buio" is a Carignano del Sulcis Riserva with a classic, round and harmonious sip that encapsulates the flavors and aromas of Sardinian tradition. It comes from a vineyard not far from the bay of Porto Pino, beaten daily by the mistral wind and surrounded by a clear sky, which seems to almost merge with the color of the nearby sea; a land parched by the sun, where the grapes, when they reach perfect ripeness, are able to give life to truly exceptional products. Just like this "Buio Buio," with which Mesa, a young production company founded in 2004, makes a red wine that in just a few years has managed to win praise from Italian and international critics.
Mesa winery's Carignano del Sulcis Riserva "Buio Buio" is made from pure Carignano grapes grown in the "Su Baroni" vineyard, characterized by a clay-sandy subsoil. The grapes, carefully picked to express only the best of the terroir of origin, ferment in steel, macerating for about 8 days with periodic pumping over. Then comes aging, carried out for about 10 months in second- and third-passage barriques, and bottling; each racking operation is carried out using natural gravity, to ensure the least possible stress to the wine.
Mesa's Riserva "Buio Buio" is a Carignano del Sulcis that presents itself in the glass with a light ruby red color. The bouquet of olfactory sensations presents very varied notes, ranging from floral to fruity, also crossing fresh balsamic aromas. The palate has a rich body, full and round, with a soft tannic texture, which contributes to an enveloping drinking experience. A label where tradition, natural rhythms and quality come together as one, giving us a worthy experience.
