Champagne Brut Christiane Guillaumée

The Champagne Brut by Christiane Guillaumée is a classic and traditional expression of the Cote des Bar, produced from an assembly of the three most typical varieties of the region with a good prevalence of Pinot Noir. The result is a sparkling wine with a dry, tense and vibrant flavour, intense freshness and pleasant minerality, enriched with a delicate bouquet of bread crust, citrus fruits, white fruit and light floral notes

CHAMPAGNE BRUT CHRISTIANE GUILLAUMÉE DESCRIPTION

Guillaumèe's Brut Champagne condenses all the charm, style and elegance of a female-run maison. A truly feminine reality, since at the head of the domaine we find Christiane, a convinced and passionate winemaker, who for years has been enjoying growing success in the crowded French sparkling wine market by virtue of impeccable and high-quality production. We are located in the heart of the Aube, the southernmost area of the Champagne region, in the Cote des Bars, which in recent years has rediscovered itself as an area particularly suited to growing grapes for sparkling wine. This Brut is the Maison's entry-level label that, with its enviable value for money, is the perfect companion for elegant aperitifs or refined fish-based finger foods.

Christiane's Champagne Brut comes from the typical French blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, with the former being the star of the blend with just under 70 percent of the final share. The vines are rooted on the clay-limestone slopes of the Cote des Bars and enjoy an oceanic climate that tends to be continental. The grapes are harvested by hand, and alcoholic and malolactic fermentation of the grape must takes place in steel tanks. At final blending, 37 percent of Pinot Noir and 3 percent of Chardonnay are vin de rèserve.

Brut Champagne Guillaumée sparkles in the glass with its straw-yellow, slightly golden coat, traversed by a dense and persistent perlage. Graceful aromas of dried fruit, candied citrus and bread crust are enriched by pungent and pleasant notes of apple, apricot and persuasive floral fragrances. The palate develops a fresh, fine and taut texture, teased by a subtle bubble that entices one to taste again. An enchanting feminine charm!
