CHAMPAGNE BRUT 'OEIL DE PERDIX' JEAN VESSELLE DESCRIPTION

The Champagne Brut "Oeil de Perdix" is a label of particular value and richness, made by a Maison of artisanal character, Jean Vesselle, which cultivates its vineyards in the territory of the famous Grand Cru of Bouzy. It is a pure Pinot Noir that perfectly represents the excellence that the famous red grape variety manages to achieve in this area of Champagne. This is an intense and elegant Champagne, giving complex and ripe aromas, with notes of citrus zest, berries, tropical hints, grilled and bread crust nuances. A great gastronomic Champagne, to be enjoyed throughout the meal.

"Oeil de Perdix" is a connoisseur's Brut Champagne. It is a particularly rich and aromatically dense Pinot Noir in purity, named for its color between amber and pink. Maison Jean Vesselle is located in Bouzy, a Grand Cru village that has always been famous for its elegant Pinot Noirs. Vesselle Champagnes are born from an artisanal savoir fair, which has been passed down in the family from generation to generation and still constitutes the company's most important heritage. Experience and rigor, combined with an extraordinary quality of grapes, make it possible to produce classy Champagnes, dedicated to those in search of labels which can tell the authentic character of the terroir.

Jean Vesselle's Brut "Oeil de Perdix" is a Champagne made from the finest Pinot Noir grapes grown on the limestone-clay soils of the Grand Cru of Bouzy. At the end of the harvest, fermentation is carried out by individual parcel and only after several months of maturation are the vins clairs assembled to make the final cuvée. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle, according to the Champenoise Method, with resting on the lees for 36 months. The Champagne is amber in color with slight auburn highlights, traversed by a fine, continuous perlage. The bouquet gives aromas of orange blossom, orange peel, herbs, ripe fruit, soft hints of tropical fruit, toasted and bread crust sensations. The sip is particularly deep and multifaceted, with rich and elegant aromas that anticipate a saline finish of remarkable freshness.
