The Champagne Extra Brut 'Tradition' Patrice Guay is a fine and balanced Champagne from the Vallée de la Marne, made from Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. It is the Maison's most classic Champagne, fresh, round and dry, pleasantly citrusy and floral. A fully traditional Champagne, which Patrice dedicates to his grandmother, she who passed on to him the passion for viticulture

The Champagne Patrice Guay Extra Brut ‘Tradition’ represents the calling card of the Guay family, the label that introduces the style and character of the winery. This Champagne pays homage to the ancestors of Patrice Guay, particularly to his grandmother, the first to pass on the passion for viticulture to the producer. The winemaking tradition of the Guay family began in 1930, while in 1947 Patrice's grandfather purchased a farm in the village of Festigny, which belonged in the 17th century to the Benedictine monks of the Hautvillers abbey, led by the famous monk Dom Pérignon.

The Extra Brut Champagne ‘Tradition’ Patrice Guay is made from a blend of Pinot Meunier (75%) and Chardonnay (25%), varieties cultivated according to sustainable practices that include cover cropping and grassing. The vintage wine is produced through a gentle pressing of hand-harvested grapes, followed by alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After a brief aging in steel, the preparation of the cuvée proceeds.through the addition of 25% vin de reserve. The subsequent sparkling process occurs in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method, with aging sur lattes taking place at a controlled temperature of 10 °C and lasting for at least 24-36 months, at the end of which the sparkling wine undergoes degorgement and final dosage Extra Brut.

The ‘Tradition’ Champagne Extra Brut Patrice Guay is a brilliant straw yellow color with fine and persistent effervescence. The aromatic range offers sensations of white-fleshed fruit, wildflowers, citrus, and aromatic herbs, supported by pleasant mineral and bakery hints. A round and harmonious sip, characterized by pleasant freshness and lasting fragrant perceptions on the finish.
