CHAMPAGNE BRUT 'RESERVE IMPERIALE' MOËT & CHANDON DESCRIPTION

Moet & Chandon's 'Reserve Imperiale' is a rich and intense Champagne that lends itself to a wide variety of gastronomic pairings. Its personality is summed up in these words by the prestigious maison that produces it: 'juicy, warm and vinous'. Compared to the more famous and popular Brut Imperial, this reserve is made from a higher proportion of Pinot Noir grapes that bring energy, structure and vigour. Its enveloping, soft and fruity profile contributes to its high vocation at the table, allowing it to be paired with delicate fish hors d'oeuvres, as well as with more intense and savoury dishes such as white meats and fish main courses. An impeccable certainty and an unmistakable style for an inimitable Champagne.

"Reserve Imperiale" is a true symbol of the Champagne market, because, as well as being produced by the great and prestigious maison Moet & Chandon, it was born way back in 1869 and, as then, has maintained its charm and fame, confirming itself every year as one of the most sought-after and appreciated bottles by the public. It comes from a blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay, calibrated to perfection to obtain a bubble with great personality and character. The classic re-fermentation in the bottle with a minimum of 36 months' rest on the lees allows it to develop an intense aromatic bouquet and a creamier, softer body.

Champagne Brut "Imperial Reserve" offers itself to the eye in an intense golden colour, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet includes both varietal, fresh and fruity notes, in which ripe yellow fruit dominates, and broader, rounder aromas of toasted peanuts, sweet spices and candied citrus fruits. Peaches, apricots, dates and dried fruit delicately complete the olfactory picture. The entry on the palate is soft, warm and enveloping, supported by vinous nuances and good freshness. The persistence is long and harmonious, pleasant and delicious. From this perfect harmony, composed of the synergy of elegance, dynamism and delicacy, one can perfectly recognise the style of the House and the signature of chef de cave Benoit Gouez, one of Champagne's most distinguished and talented oenologists.
