The Chardonnay from Corte Giara Allegrini is a soft and delicate white wine from Veneto, coming from the province of Verona, aged exclusively in steel for about 6 months: it appears delicately straw yellow, expressing aromas of golden apple, wildflowers, and ripe plums on the nose, while on the palate it is harmonious and linear

The Chardonnay from Corte Giara combines the typical richness of the French grape variety with the great expertise of one of the most prestigious wineries in Italy. Although the Allegrini family, owners of the winery, is probably better known for their red expressions, among the most prestigious in Italy, it should not be forgotten that the vast vineyard heritage allows the renowned Venetian winery to also engage with white grape varieties, interpreting them with the usual precision and stylistic focus. The wine in question originates from an innovative project by the Allegrini family that in 1989 decided to enhance the hilly area surrounding Verona, also relying on the help of local grape growers who meet the high quality standards required by the winery. We feel compelled to add that this is a winning project, as it reflects in clear expressions that enhance the everyday table.

The Corte Giara Chardonnay is obtained from pure grapes of the same name, coming from the hilly area of Verona and from vineyards that are about 24 years old. After the manual harvest of the bunches, followed by careful selection in the winery, the process continues with cryomaceration on the skins for about a day and alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks, with partial malolactic fermentation. The liquid ages for about 4 months in steel tanks and for another 2 months in bottle before being released on the market.

The Corte Giara Chardonnay presents itself in the glass with a rather intense straw-yellow color. On the nose, the liquid reveals delicate hints of golden apple, pear, clarified butter, and citrus peel, creating a simple yet defined profile. On the palate, the wine stands out for its perfect balance among the components, being perfectly balanced between freshness, body, and sapidity. The extremely advantageous quality-price ratio makes it a wine to stock up on.
