Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru Louis Latour 2021

The Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru by Louis Latour is a prestigious and elegant Pinot Noir from the largest Grand Cru in Burgundy, cultivated by Cistercian monks since the 12th century. It comes from vines about 40 years old that grow on clay, limestone, and gravel soils. It ferments in open vats with a portion of whole clusters and matures for 12 months in new barrels from the family cooperage. On the nose, it expresses aromas of cherry, cloves, and coffee. On the palate, it is round, with soft tannins and a finish of licorice. Perfect with veal and morel mushrooms.
