Callmewine's Favourites
Organic and biodynamicThe Etna Bianco “Salisire” is an elegant and territorial wine, characterized by mineral and smoky nuances, born at about 600 m above sea level in Contrada Martinella and aged for 2 years in steel tanks. It spings out scents of fresh fruits, citrus fruits and aromatic herbs combined to delicate sulfur hints. The taste is balanced, savory and concentrated, with a good persistence
The Sicilian wine Etna Bianco “Salisire - Contrada Martinella” is a tribute to the land. The Carricante grapes are full of complex aromas, acquiring great freshness and offering the nose and palate the typical mineral and savory notes of the Etnean terroir. This label is created with the intention of providing emotions even in the future, and can be opened with confidence even in a few years, as it was precisely conceived this way by the Vivera winery team. A production reality that makes hard work a constant focus, because only with great commitment can important wines like this be achieved.
This “Salisire - Contrada Martinella” is an Etna Bianco by Vivera that originates from the pure grapes of a native Sicilian variety, Carricante. The vines of this variety grow on the volcanic soils of Contrada Martinella, where the vineyards climb up to 600 meters above sea level, on the northeast side of the volcano. The berries, grown under organic farming practices, after gentle pressing, ferment alcoholically in steel, where they rest for 24 months, incontact with the lees. After bottling, the maturation continues for another 12 months, directly in glass.
The Vivera Etna Bianco Salisire is a wine that, upon visual examination, presents a brilliant color reminiscent of straw yellow, crossed by some slight golden hues. The aromas that envelop the nose are broad and layered, evoking fruity and mineral notes, accompanied by smoky touches and nuances reminiscent of aromatic herbs. On tasting, it has a good body, concentrated and enveloping on the palate, with a pleasantly fresh sip, complemented by a nice savory vein. A bottle that can be enjoyed now, but is designed by the Vivera winery to withstand the test of time, and can therefore be opened with pleasure even in 4-5 years.
