The Vivera winery is a small family-run establishment based in Contrada Martinella, which is in the municipality of Linguaglossa, in the province of Catania. Located on the slopes of the great Etna volcano, the Vivera family's adventure began in 2003. Right from the start, the focus has been on quality wine-growing, with every detail carefully researched, thought out and implemented, as it is only through careful analysis and planning that wines with great personality can be created. In the same way, great attention is paid to the working conditions of the people who, on a daily basis, find themselves operating within the walls of the winery. It is for this reason that each space is characterised by different colours, creating a sort of chromotherapeutic path that renders the various rooms pleasant and functional to the well-being of those who work there. Nothing is left to chance at Vivera, which exports its undoubtedly prestigious production to various parts of the world, from the USA to Canada, via Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Africa, demonstrating how, despite being a young company, its commercial planning has been carefully planned from the very beginning. In 2013, the winery received the "Ecofriendly" certificate from Vini Buoni d'Italia for the environmental philosophy it has been implementing in recent years. In fact, it has restored 3 kilometres of lava stone terraces without using cement, it has used innovative materials for the winery, while reducing electricity consumption, and much more.

The vineyards owned by the Vivera winery cover an area of around 30 hectares, where, alongside the Etna vineyards, there are also some plots scattered in other parts of Sicily, in particular in the Corleone and Chiaramonte Gulfi areas. Each terroir has its own characteristics and peculiarities, although the Etnean terroir is the most important in terms of size. Between the rows of vines, various native Sicilian varieties are grown, such as Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Insolia and Carricante, alongside international varieties such as Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. In the vineyard and in the cellar, each step is driven by the passion, tradition and respect that the Vivera family nurtures for the territory. These are the key elements that allow them to create wines that convey the territory with strength and uniqueness.

The Vivera family produces seven labels each year, which provide a good general idea of Sicilian wine production. Obviously, among the bottles that we recommend tasting, a special mention should go to the Etna DOC, which is presented in a red, a rosé and a white version. These are three expressions of a land that has in recent years won international critical acclaim for the quality of its products.
