The Etna Rosato "Mofete" is a Sicilian wine from volcanic soil, born at over 700 meters above sea level. It offers a subtle, fresh, savory, and mineral sip, well-balanced, animated by floral and delicately fruity notes.

The Etna Rosato "Mofete" from the Sicilian winery Palmento Costanzo is a rosé with a fresh and savory profile, made from pure Nerello Mascalese grapes. The vines are cultivated on the northern slope of Etna, at an altitude of over 700 meters, which ensures slow ripening and a particular elegance of aromas. The volcanic soils rich in minerals and the significant temperature variations allow for a rosé that expresses the most refined notes of Nerello Mascalese, with floral scents, citrus aromas, and small red berry fruits. Taut and vertical, it is an ideal wine to enjoy as an aperitif, with seafood appetizers or delicate shellfish dishes.

Some parcels are cultivated with century-old pre-phylloxera vines of particular value. Each cru presents a specific soil composition depending on the different lava flows that have occurred throughout the life of Etna. Sandy soils, eruptive rocks, basalts, which make the soils very draining and rich in mineral elements. The style of the wines focuses on an essential elegance, capable of conveying the authentic face of the terroir.

The "Mofete" Etna Rosato by Palmento Costanzo is produced with Nerello Mascalese grapes from bush-trained vines grown on soils mainly composed of volcanic sands. At the end of the harvest, the best bunches are gently pressed with a short cold prefermentative maceration on the skins lasting 8 hours. The must is then vinified white in stainless steel tanks. Before bottling, the wine matures for 6 months in stainless steel tanks in contact with the fine lees. In the glass, it presents a pale pink color with bright coppery reflections. On the nose, it opens with floral scents, citrus aromas, pomegranate, raspberry, berry fruits, and hints of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub.
