Furore Rosso Marisa Cuomo 2024
The Furore Rosso by Marisa Cuomo is a red wine made from Piedirosso and Aglianico grapes and aged for 6 months in barriques. It offers us a bouquet of aromatic herbs and crunchy red fruit, with a sip that is elegant and pleasantly intense
The "Furore Rosso" from the Marisa Cuomo winery is an extreme wine not so much for its organoleptic characteristics but because it comes from a rugged territory, namely the Amalfi Coast, where the vineyards are cultivated on tiny terraces of land carved from the rocks and the sea.
The "Furore" Marisa Cuomo is a red wine made from Piedirosso and Aglianico grapes, sourced from vines located on coastal terraces at altitudes ranging from 200 to 550 meters with slopes that sometimes exceed 60%. The vineyards face south and are cultivated using the traditional "atypical fan" method, which protects the clusters from the intense daily solar radiation. The soils are composed of dolomitic-limestone rocks that give the wine a typical freshness, also due to the area's microclimate. The winemaking process begins with the arrival of the grapes at the winery, harvested manually from the vineyard. The crushing-destemming is gentle, and the resulting must is fermented with consequent maceration on the skins, pumping over and punching down forfor about 12 days. The resulting wine is then aged for 6 months in second-use barriques and bottled.
The "Furore" red wine from the Marisa Cuomo winery presents itself with a bright ruby red color. On the nose, it reveals fruity notes of cherry and blackberry, with a pleasant background of spicy notes and Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is very pleasant and distinctive, medium-bodied, elegant, and characterized by a good fresh and mineral texture. The "Furore Rosso", like all other wines from the Marisa Cuomo winery, is a wine that allows us to savor the authentic taste of an extraordinary territory.
