Grillo '4 Filari' Case Alte 2024

The Grillo “4 Filari” is a Sicilian white wine that strongly represents the varietal used, which, among the rows owned by the Case Alte winery, is free to express itself to the fullest of its potential, given the management of the vineyards under organic farming. This Grillo indeed presents the typical floral and aromatic herbs bouquet that distinguishes it, combining such aromas with a refreshing sip, where freshness and minerality present themselves with the right intensity. A very versatile label in the kitchen, to be considered also for its versatility at the table.  

This “4 Filari” is a Grillo that comes from the homonymous native grapes, used in purity by the Case Alte winery. The vines of this variety grow on a hilly soil located about 500 meters above sea level, of sandy origin, where the vines are worked according to practices that refer to organic farming. The grapes, once harvested and taken to the facilities designated for winemaking, are pressed with the whole bunch, to then decant statically for 24 hours and ferment alcoholically in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature of 15 degrees. Always in steel the aging takes place, which lasts for 6 months, during which the wine remains in contact with its own yeasts.

The wine “4 Filari” is a Grillo that, upon visual examination, announces itself with a bright straw-yellow color, crossed by some reflections that tend more towards greenish. The nose is rich in fruity aromas, alternating with floral sensations and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is light-bodied, enveloping, with a fresh and savory sip, which offers a smooth and satisfying drink. A bottle with which the Case Alte winery carries on a commitment to the production of Sicilian wines passed down from generation to generation.
