Lagrein Endrizzi 2024
The Lagrein by Endrizzi is a red that coherently and cleanly reflects the typical traits of the area and the grape variety of origin. With a clear and intense ruby color, it offers refined aromas of fresh violet and small wild red fruits on the first nose, opening rich, harmonious, and full on the palate with fruity and spicy memories typical of the type.
The Lagrein is one of the red wines with which the Endrizzi winery enhances the native varieties of the region. It is made from a grape typical of northern Trentino and widely cultivated in Alto Adige, presented with a classic and harmonious profile, where nothing, neither on the nose nor in the mouth, feels out of place. The main characteristic of this label lies in its intense fruity taste, a true "fil rouge" that guides the entire tasting experience.
This Lagrein comes from the homonymous grape variety, native to the region, which finds a good space within the regional borders of Trentino Alto Adige. The vineyard is that of Massetto, near San Michele all'Adige, and the plants grow with the guyot system, in a dolomitic-limestone soil characterized by alluvial stratifications. The grapes, selected by hand during the harvest phase, are destemmed, and the berries are sent for pressing. The must obtained from this operation ferments in stainless steel containers, macerating on the skins for 6-8 days and also undergoing malolactic fermentation. The wine is then transferred to French oak barriques, where it matures for several months, until the Endrizzi winery proceeds with bottling.
The red Lagrein signed by Endrizzi reveals itself to the eye with a very concentrated ruby color. On the nose, varied sensations are perceived, outlining a multifaceted profile where fruit and floral notes of violet play the leading roles. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, balanced, with a sip that aligns with the fruity aromas already perceived during the olfactory examination. A product that confirms the winery's desire to present the terroir of Trentino Alto Adige with an approach faithful to the typical native varieties of the region.
