The Malvasia by Raccaro is a refined and bright white wine. Complex on the nose, with various nuances of citrus, lavender, bay leaf, and an intriguing peppery note. Powerful on the palate, with vibrant sapidity, fresh and with an aromatic path characterized by citrus and rocky hints.

Malvasia di Raccaro is made from the ancient and famous grape variety of Greek origin, which is widespread in all Mediterranean countries. In Friuli Venezia Giulia a particular clone of Malvasia is grown with a less aromatic and soft profile, which is expressed with fruity, citrusy aromas, nuances of spices, officinal herbs and a characteristic savoriness, accentuated by the soils of Collio, the famous "ponca" generated by the sedimentation and subsequent uplift of an ancient seabed.

The white Malvasia comes from the vineyards of the Raccaro estate, which are located on the first hillsides on the slopes of Mount Quarin, which overlooks the town of Cormòns. The vines are up to 50 years old and are planted on the typical Collio flysch, composed of ancient marl and sandstone, a stony, mineral-rich soil that is ideal for growing vines. The rich and aromatically intense grapes are harvested when fully ripe. After soft pressing and cold decanting, the free-run juice is started for fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of about 18°C. The wine matures on the fine lees in stainless steel for about 6 months before being bottled and finishes aging with a few months in the cellar.

Malvasia di Raccaro is a well-structured, rich and complex white, vinified only in steel to keep the fruity aromas and delicate varietal aromaticity intact. A wine that perfectly interprets the Collio territory and its Mediterranean climate, which gives mature and enveloping wines. The color is straw yellow with brilliant reflections. The bouquet seduces with scents of orange blossom, fruity and citrus aromas, notes of herbs, oriental spices and black pepper. The mouth is dense with juicy fruit and traversed by a crisp savory streak, accompanying the sip toward a finish of balanced freshness.
