The Maranges of the winery Maison En Belles Lies of the Côte de Beaune is a Pinot Noir that is expressed with an intense nose and a warm sip. The whole pressed bunches are fermented for a long time with indigenous yeasts. The wine is then left to rest for 15 months in oak barrels. The power of the nose releases hints of black fruits and spicy aromas that give a palate with warm and delicate tannins

The Maranges of Maison En Belles Lies is a pure Pinot Noir with a soft and caressing taste, an authentic expression of the namesake Burgundy AOC. This denomination of the Cote de Beaune, established in 1988, constitutes 95% of the total production of reds from Pinot Noir grapes, with the remaining 5% dedicated to white wines. The production area of Maranges is located in the extreme south of the Cote d'Or, close to the border with the Cote Chalonnaise, in a warmer context that gives rise to wines characterized by silky tannins and distinctly fruity aromas.

Maison En Belles Lies Maranges comes from only Pinot Noir grapes grown according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture on soils rich in clay and limestone. Once manually harvested, the bunches are gently pressed whole, with the must obtained undergoing spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in wooden vats thanks to the action of only indigenous yeasts. After racking and the completion of the fermentation process, the wine matures for 15 months in oak barrels of multiple uses before bottling. During processing, the mass undergoes no clarification, filtration, or addition of sulfites.

To the eye, the Burgundy red wine Maranges from the Maison En Belles Lies winery takes on a deep ruby red color. The aromatic profile is described by intense aromas of blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry, followed by light spicy perceptions. The taste is warm and fresh at the same time, with a delicate tannic structure and a persistent finish on the olfactory sensations. This is a Pinot Noir of great versatility in food-wine pairing, suitable for rich pasta dishes or risottos with mushrooms or with duck breast in orange sauce.
