The White "Montej" is an engaging and enveloping blend of Sauvignon and Chardonnay grapes, vinified and aged briefly in steel tanks. It develops a delicate and satisfying bouquet, characterized by fragrant aromas of white-fleshed fruit, floral fragrances, and a fine mineral note. On the palate, it presents a fresh, engaging, and slightly aromatic texture, with a delicate sapidity.

The “Montej” Bianco di Villa Sparina is a fresh and fragrant wine that represents a uniqueness in the range of wines from the famous Piedmontese winery. Always dedicated to enhancing Cortese, the typical white grape of the area, Villa Sparina also wanted to try its hand at creating a white that looks towards France. The label is produced with a blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, two varieties that have adapted very well to the climate and soils of the hilly area of Gavi. Elegant, fresh, and slightly aromatic, it is a young and fragrant white that offers immediate pleasure.

The Bianco “Montej” is born in one of the most well-known and appreciated realities of lower Piedmont. The Villa Sparina estate extends over a total of about one hundred hectares, of which just over half are vineyards, mainly with Cortese and Barbera, the grapes that have always been cultivated in this territory. The suited soils and a particularly mild climate, influenced by the gentle breezes of the Ligurian Sea, offers ideal conditions for white grape varieties. The Chardonnay and Sauvignon vineyards are cultivated on the limestone soils of the hilly ridges at an altitude of about 250-300 meters above sea level and facing southwest. At the end of the harvest, the bunches are pressed and the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of about 18 °C for a period of a couple of weeks. Finally, it ages for a few months in steel before being bottled for commercialization.

The “Montej” Bianco di Villa Sparina is a Piedmontese white with its gaze turned across the Alps. The finesse and elegance of Chardonnay combine with the aromatic freshness of Sauvignon Blanc to create a blend of good richness and aromatic fragrance. It is a young wine that wins over with its expressive pleasantness. In the glass, it presents a bright straw-yellow color and emits aromas of wildflowers, medicinal herbs, fragrant fruit, and slight hints of citrus. The ripe fruit makes the sip harmonious and lively, with a balanced, fresh, and tasty. Seductive and intriguing, it is a perfect wine to enjoy at aperitif time.
