The Moulin A Vent 'Petit Bois' by Guillaume Chanudet is a red wine produced in Beaujolais made from Gamay. Fresh, full, and juicy, on the palate it offers a very concentrated sip, where the fruity notes perfectly balance with a dense tannic structure and a pleasant acidity on the finish. The nose brings back the fruit, with intense aromas of red currant, blackberry, and sour cherry, accompanied in the finish by soft hints of licorice. A wine to pair with meat dishes or platters of cheeses and cured meats!

The Burgundian winemaker Guillaume Chanudet presents the Moulin-à-Vent ‘Les Petits Bois’, a red wine structured and dynamic at the same time. Moulin-à-Vent is one of the 10 crus of the Beaujolais area, and it is considered one of the most sought-after and appreciated. The name of this subzone comes from the windmill that stands on its granite hills particularly rich in manganese, a mineral element that promotes high-quality production. The wines of Moulin-à-Vent are renowned for their significant structure and longevity compared to those produced in other crus of Beaujolais, with more pronounced tannins that do not disturb the great drinkability typical of the wines from this area.

Guillaume Chanudet Moulin-à-Vent ‘Les Petits Bois’ is a 100% Gamay from bush-trained vines on soils made up of pink granite, characterized by a high concentration of manganese. The plants are cultivated according to the principles of organic farming and the harvest is done entirely by hand. In the cellar, the grapes are vinified whole with semi-carbonic maceration and spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in cement tanks for about 2-3 weeks, after which the mass is transferred to stainless steel tanks where the maturation of 12 months takes place before bottling and the subsequent market release.

In the glass, Guillaume Chanudet's Moulin-à-Vent reveals a bright ruby red cloak. The olfactory mosaic is composed of intriguing fruity aromas of raspberry, blackberry, sour cherry, and currant, combined with deep suggestions of licorice and spicy hints. The fullness and enveloping body on the palate are well balanced by the juicy freshness and the well-present tannic structure that describe a fruity finish of long persistence.
