The Nebbiolo "Ginestrino" is a medium-bodied red wine aged in barriques for 10 months and endowed with character, good freshness, and tonic quality. The bouquet is very typical, with violets, pepper, and berries. The taste is full and youthful, with good persistence.

The Nebbiolo "Ginestrino" by Conterno Fantino is a typical and traditional expression of the Langhe. Thanks to a rather short aging in wood and careful vinification, it expresses all the elegance, freshness, and extreme drinkability of young Nebbiolo. On the nose, it offers delicately floral aromas, scents of small red berries enhanced by a touch of spices. The sip is lively, fresh, and fruity, with fragrant aromas and a finish of good taste persistence.

The Nebbiolo "Ginestrino" is the younger brother of Barolo and is born in the same territory of Monforte d’Alba, where Conterno Fantino manages about 27 hectares cultivated with Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Barbera, and Chardonnay under certified organic farming. The soils are predominantly clayey, and the vines are trained to guyot with low planting densities. The manual harvest of the grapes begins around mid-October, and fermentation takes place in horizontal steel fermenters, with a rather short maceration on the skins, lasting 6-8 days. The subsequent maturation will take place then in second-passage French oak barriques for 10 months and completes the aging with a few months in bottle before being put on sale.

The "Ginestrino" by Conterno Fantino perfectly expresses the character of young Nebbiolo, with pleasant and immediate drinkability. The moderate use of wood preserves the varietal face of the grape, without weighing down the bouquet with overly evolved and complex notes. In the glass, it has a ruby red color, while the olfactory profile opens up to floral hints of violet, aromas of small berries, cherry, and slight spicy notes. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a fragrant and juicy fruit, delicate and subtle tannins, and a finish of great freshness, closing with slightly spicy sensations.
