The Nero di Troia by Angiuli is a red wine from Puglia that expresses the richness and warmth of the Puglian land. The nose is a dark-hued picture composed of strokes of blackberry, nuances of violets, and touches of black pepper. The taste is powerful and rich, enveloped by an intense tannic texture.

Donato Angiuli's Nero di Troia is an intense and rich Apulian red that well expresses the Mediterranean warmth and sunny climate of the land where it was born. The aromas of ripe dark fruit, the nuances of soft oriental spices, the deep and elegant sip, the dense and evolved tannic texture, make it an important wine. A label that fully enhances the best qualities of the Nero di Troia grape variety, which in the northern area of the Puglia region is proving to be able to give birth to very interesting wines with great character and personality.

Angiuli's Nero di Troia wine stems from the company's philosophy of putting the utmost attention in the valorization of the indigenous grape varieties of the territory. Nero di Troia is an ancient variety present for centuries in the northern area of Puglia. The vines are cultivated in the Castel del Monte countryside, on calcareous-clay soils, according to the traditional tendon system, with a density of about 2,000 plants per hectare. After manual harvesting, which usually takes place during the month of October, fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature using the submerged cap technique, lasting about 10 days. The wine is aged a few months in steel before bottling.

The Apulian red Nero di Troia, produced by Donato Angiuli, represents a beautiful expression of the varietal in purity. Thanks to the choice of aging only in steel, without the use of wood, the wine preserves the varietal typicality and fragrance of the grape, bringing to the forefront the aromatic richness and elegance of this ancient vine. In the glass it has a deep ruby red color, with youthful violet hues. The bouquet opens on floral notes of violets, aromas of black cherry, small dark berry fruits, enhanced by soft spicy suggestions. The palate has a good structure, with harmonious sip. The tannic texture is well integrated with the body of the wine and the ripeness of the fruit is balanced by a lively freshness.
