Cascina Melognis's "Novamen" is an intense and ripe red wine that comes from the hills around Saluzzo. This winery grows both native and international grapes, aiming its care and management towards a mor esustainable production. The nose immediately reveals intense hints of red fruits, dried flowers and pleasant balsamic hints that return on the palate. Fleshy, full-bodied and very warm, as a typical Piedmontese wine tends to be, it has a well-balanced sip that makes it perfect with well-structured main courses

'Novamen' represents a red wine with a strong and bold personality, produced according to artisanal practices by the small production reality of Cascina Melognis, which constitutes one of its flagship labels. The estate is part of FIVI, the Italian Federation of Independent Winemakers, an association that aims to enhance the work of the independent Italian winemaker, understood as the person who personally takes care of the entire production cycle from grape to bottle, as well as the subsequent marketing. Among the black grape varieties cultivated by Cascina Melognis are Pelaverga Grosso, Barbera, Neretta Cuneese, Freisa, Nebbiolo di Dronero, and Pinot Nero.

'Novamen' Cascina Melognis is produced through a blend of red grapes grown following the principles of organic farming within vineyards characterized by acidic soils rich in skeleton and clay, located at altitudes between 450 and 500 meters above sea level. The harvest is done by hand and the subsequent alcoholic fermentation occurs spontaneously in stainless steel tanks, without temperature control and accompanied by about 15 days of maceration on the skins. The liquid is then transferred to second and third passage oak barriques for malolactic fermentation, which helps to soften the character of the wine.

The 'Novamen' from Cascina Melognis has an intense ruby red color. The olfactory panorama is defined by primary aromas of red fruits and dried flowers that blend with pleasant balsamic hints and memories of various spices. Warm, enveloping, and full-bodied on the palate, also characterized by marked freshness and a meaty mineral vein, with soft tannins supporting the balanced fruity finish.
