"Ograde" is a full-bodied and artisanal white wine macerated on the skins for 15 days, a precious nectar from Carso. The amber color with orange tones and the exuberant aromas rich in resin, candied fruits, honey, and mineral nuances accompany a enveloping and intense tasting experience, characterized by a remarkable freshness and pleasant aromaticity.

Ograde is an orange wine that enchants the nose and palate for its great expressiveness and richness, the result of a long maceration on the skins that goes on for 15 days, giving the liquid a wonderful amber color with orange hues. When talking about artisanal nectars, one cannot fail to mention Skerk, a histrionic wine artisan in the Karst plateau. The trick, paradoxically, is not to use chemicals in the vineyard and cellar, letting the earth and grapes tell their own stories spontaneously. This gives rise to liquid emotions that are striking in their spontaneity and authenticity: magical stories of life and vines. Skerk's hand is, as always, unmistakable, and this Ograde is overwhelming proof of that, a unique expression that stands as one of the most exciting in the area.

Skerk Ograde comes from a calibrated blend of Sauvignon, Malvasia Istriana, Vitovska and Pinot Grigio. The vines grow on the hills of Karst, in an arid, red, stony soil rich in limestone and iron components. We are located a few kilometers from the sea, in an enchanted landscape dominated by nature. The grapes grow luxuriantly and enjoy the perfect exposure, the influence of the sea, the valuable bora and the excellent temperature range between night and day. The hand-harvested and slightly delayed grapes are gently transported to the winery. The sweet juice obtained ferments spontaneously with its own yeasts and macerates on the skins for at least 15 days, the time needed to concentrate the color and a slight and appreciable tannic nuance. It is aged in oak barrels of different capacities for at least 12 months and then in the bottle for another few months.

The Ograde wine shines in the glass with a shimmering, consistent amber dress tending toward orange. The nose is rich and broad, waving a rich symphony of notes of candied citrus, caramel, orange marmalade, chestnut honey, pine resin, mango compote, shaded by Mediterranean notes of rosemary and balsamic herbs. Mineral stamps and saline accents frame the nose. On the sip it is enveloping and elegant, endowed with a slight tannic "roughness" and a vital, energizing freshness. It closes slow and persistent, leaving memories of delicate aromaticity. A trip to the Karst in just one sip!
