The Pinot Grigio "Dessimis" is a white expressive and characterful wine, which from the very first moments announces itself with a very interesting pedigree. The soul of the bottle develops around a fruity and floral aromatic profile, which leads to a enveloping palate, making the tasting elegant and satisfying. A product of excellent craftsmanship, from which all the know-how of the Vie di Romans winery emerges, a productive reality that has now become a point of reference even outside the regional borders.
The "Dessimis" is a Pinot Grigio from Friuli Venezia Giulia, made in purity by the team at the Vie di Romans winery. The vines, which are over 20 years old, grow using the trellis system and sink their roots into a terroir characterized by a red clay subsoil, where the presence of iron and aluminum is abundant. Once harvested, the grapes are taken to the facilities dedicated to winemaking, where they are destemmed, followed by cold skin maceration. This is followed by static decantation and fermentation, which takes place for 18 days in steel containers. Finally, it concludes with aging, during which the wine rests first for 9 months on the lees in small wooden barrels, and then, after bottling, for another 10 months in glass.
This Pinot Grigio "Dessimis" signed by Vie di Romans presents itself to the eye with the typical coppery color. The array of aromas that outlines its aromatic profile tells a refined trace made of fruity sensations, also enriched by light floral hints. On the palate, it is full-bodied, broad and enveloping, with a sip endowed with a pleasant freshness, oriented towards fruity tones. An absolutely significant label, which "climbs" to the qualitative peaks of the main Italian and international sector guides, brushing against perfection.
