Red 'Champ Traversier' Les Vignes D'Olivier is a red wine made in Languedoc from Cinsault, vinified with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks. 'Champ Traversier' is fresh and juicy, with notes of red fruits that express themselves on the palate in a vibrant, dynamic sip with good acidity, refreshing the palate one sip after another. A light and drinkable red wine, to be served chilled in summer as an accompaniment to salads and cheese and charcuterie boards

The Rosso ‘Champ Traversier’ by Les Vignes d’Olivier is a French interpretation of Cinsault that surprises with its smooth and juicy drinkability. The young vigneron Olivier Cohen, owner of the estate Les Vignes d’Olivier, manages 7 hectares of vineyards in Argilliers, near Montpellier, among the Mediterranean woods of Languedoc. He has had the opportunity to learn the secrets of the trade from two masters in the field, Antoine Arena and Thierry Allemand, producers from the Patrimonio area in Corsica and the Cornas territory in Northern Rhône, respectively.

Les Vignes d’Olivier ‘Champ Traversier’ Rosso is a pure Cinsault from old vines planted in soils rich in clay, sand, and limestone, cultivated according to a highly sustainable viticulture. The grapes are hand-harvested and then transferred to the winery for a short semi-carbonic maceration of whole clusters and spontaneous alcoholic fermentation conducted exclusively by indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Maturation takes place in the same type of wine containersfor a few months and the wine is finally bottled without undergoing any filtration and addition of sulfur.

In the glass, the ‘Champ Traversier’ Rosso by Les Vignes d’Olivier expresses a bright ruby red color. The olfactory mosaic consists of vivid and intense aromas of red fruits and bramble flowers, accompanied by balsamic notes and slight hints of white pepper. The taste development is graceful, juicy, and easy-drinking, with a marked freshness that combines with the soft tannic structure in a highly smooth finish. This artisanal Cinsault can be paired with a wide range of foods, such as fresh cured meats, hearty pasta dishes, white meats, or lightly aged cheeses.
