The Roero Rosso "Bric Valdiana" is an intense and elegant wine, aged for 18 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. It has an expressive and refined bouquet that recalls berries, violet, and rose. On the palate, it is very fruity, full-bodied, and persistent. A great protagonist of the Roero area

The Roero Rosso “Bric Valdiana” by Giovanni Almondo is a version of Nebbiolo that perfectly represents the traditional and classic style of the winery and the peculiarities of the Roero terroir. On the left bank of the Tanaro, in fact, the noble Piedmontese grape variety produces wines that are less powerful and structured compared to the Langhe area, all played on the delicate finesse of the fruit. It is a red that is very pleasant to drink even when young and that highlights an extraordinary versatility in pairings at the table.

“Bric Valdiana” is a Roero Rosso born from the passionate work of one of the most interesting wineries in this area of Piemonte. The Giovanni Almondo winery is located in Montà and produces wines that are faithful to the traditions of the territory, using the main indigenous grape varieties of the region. The Nebbiolo vineyards enjoy a beautiful and sunny position, located at an altitude of about 350 meters above sea level, with a south-facing exposure, which ensures an excellent ripening of the grapes. The soil of the area of Roero is characterized by soft and draining soils, predominantly sandy in nature, with percentages of limestone, silt, and clay. At the end of the harvest, the healthiest and ripest bunches are sent for fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and undergo a maceration on the skins of about three weeks. The wine matures for 18 months in large oak barrels and completes its aging with a few months in the bottle.

The Roero Rosso “Bric Valdiana” by Giovanni Almondo is an excellent bottle that allows you to experience the unique personality of the Nebbiolo from Roero, interpreted by one of the leading producers in the area. In the glass, it presents a beautiful ruby red with garnet reflections. The olfactory profile is elegant and delicate, with aromas of red currant, raspberry, wild strawberries, marasca, floral hints of violet and dried flowers, notes of aromatic herbs and spices. Of medium structure, it has a fine and subtle tannic texture that envelops a sip harmonious and of good aromatic complexity, fragrant and multifaceted. The finish is fresh, savory, and of good taste persistence.
