The Rosé "Fiero" by Cantina Margò is an atypical Sangiovese, a classic approach of this winery that wants to distance itself from fashions. Minimal intervention, no excessive maceration to get the best from the vine, the terroir and the specific characteristics of the vintage. One can perceive notes of red fruits and citrus, as well as balsamic notes on the finish that emphasize the fresh sensations of the sip. Fine, slightly tannic and very drinkable, certainly a very pleasant rosé, but at the same time elegant and profound

The Rosato ‘Fiero’ by Cantina Margò is one of those non-trivial rosé wines, endowed with strong character and expressiveness, “fiero” as highlighted by the name, while maintaining the great drinkability that distinguishes the type. On the other hand, the labels of Carlo Tabarrini, owner of Cantina Margò, are never predictable, always counter-trend compared to fashions or enological conventions. In this case, Carlo wanted to produce a rosé wine with only Sangiovese grapes, the grape variety with which his adventure began in a garage on the outskirts of Perugia in 2008, the year he rented half a hectare of vineyard in a state of partial abandonment, starting to vinify experimentally.

Cantina Margò Rosato ‘Fiero’ is a pure Sangiovese from vineyards managed according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture on medium-textured soils, primarily composed of clay, limestone, and marls. Once the grapes have reached the ideal ripening stage, manual harvesting is carried out, followed by the operation of destemming the grapes. The alcoholic fermentation occurs spontaneously in stainless steel tanks thanks to the action of only indigenous yeasts, accompanied by as much as 10 days of skin maceration. Aging also takes place in steel for a few months before bottling and a further short rest in glass. Throughout the entire production process, the mass is not subjected to any clarification or filtration operations, and no sulfites are added, in maximum respect for the purity and genuineness of the wine.

The ‘Fiero’ Rosato by Cantina Margò has a light cherry-pink hue. Crunchy fruity aromas of fresh cherry, raspberry, and orange peel characterize the olfactory range along with fresh hints of mint and peculiar notes of tomato water. On the palate, it is refined and vertical, fresh and drinkable, delicately tannic and with a pleasant fruity finish.
