Rosé "Une Rose de Blancs" from the Galician winery La Senda is a lively label with unique characteristics that will surprise even the most experienced palates. It is made from a blend of Dona Blanca and Palomino Fino macerated for three days in barrels that have contained red wine of the Mencia variety, giving it a wonderful rosé colour. Both nose and palate are filled with notes of ripe red berry fruit and an irresistible smoky sensation.

The Rosé La Senda ‘Une Rose de Blancs’ is a Galician interpretation with a refreshing and mineral character. After gaining a series of experiences at conventional wineries, heavy metal musician Diego Losada decided in 2012 to go independent, distancing himself from the standardized products that fill the market. This is the unconventional spirit behind the wines of the small winery La Senda, capable of expressing all of Diego's personality and the territory of La Bierzo. Among these, ‘Une Rose de Blancs’ is a peculiar rosé wine produced, as the name suggests, from only white grape varieties, which takes on its coloration thanks to the processing in barrels that previously contained red wine varieties.

‘Une Rose de Blancs’ Rosé from La Senda is made from a blend of the white grapes Doña Blanca and Palomino Fino, grown in soils composed of clay and limestone with quartz presence. The vineyards are between 70 and 90 years old and are located at about 550 meters in altitude. Once harvested, the bunches are vinified through spontaneous alcoholic fermentation which involves 3 days of maceration in barrels that previously contained red wine of the Mencia variety, from which the rosé color comes. The aging of 4 months takes place in French oak barrels and the mass is finally bottled without undergoing either clarification or filtration and without the use of sulfur.

Intense and dark is the rosé color of the Rosé La Senda ‘Une Rose de Blancs’, which on the nose expresses rich and articulated aromas of cherry and red fruits, combined with irresistible smoky perceptions. Fresh, agile, and juicy sip, characterized by a fruity and slightly smoky finish. An original rosé wine of remarkable grace, which, however, does not lack character.
