The “Sinespina” from Cascina Melognis is a rosé with a gastronomic character. It is produced by a winery from Saluzzo that works hard to promote local grape varieties, particularly valuing the old vines of its vineyard. On the nose, intriguing hints of exotic fruit are perceived, embracing notes of red fruits and citrus peel, a profile that invites the sip. On the palate, it is tense, energetic, almost nervous due to its pronounced freshness, which balances a pleasantly rich sensation. Very versatile in food pairing, also try it with pizza.

The ‘Sinespina’ from the Piedmontese wine estate Cascina Melognis is a rosé wine rich in fruity and floral aromas produced through a rich blend of black grape varieties vinified as rosé. In particular, the grapes from the different varieties all come from a very old vineyard, purchased and restored by the couple Michele Fino and Vanina Maria Carta. Michele embarked on this adventure after obtaining a degree in Law, driven by the desire to continue his family's story, which has always been dedicated to agriculture and livestock. Meanwhile, his wife Vanina boasts experience at wineries in the Barolo area.

Cascina Melognis ‘Sinespina’ is made from a composite blend of red grapes, cultivated organically within a plot characterized by acidic soils rich in skeleton and clay, located at an altitude of 450 meters above sea level. The harvest is carried out by hand at the same time for all varieties, seeking the ideal balance between the respective ripening periods. In the cellar, the bunches are vinified through several hours of skin maceration, with the must subsequently undergoing spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.

The rosé wine ‘Sinespina’ from Cascina Melognis has a pale coppery pink hue. Fruity notes of pomegranate, wild strawberry, and exotic fruit greet the nose, soon joined by delicate hints of citrus zest and floral and herbal notes. A tense, energetic, and very fresh sip, capable of balancing the soft, almost fatty body of the wine, defining a tantalizing savory persistence on the finish.
