Timorasso 'Derthona' Vite Colte 2023

The Timorasso "Derthona" by Vite Colte is a white wine from the Tortona area, 'Derthona' is indeed the medieval name of the town. The Timorasso was at risk of disappearing, but the skilled winemakers of Tortona saved the grape variety, which today is increasingly establishing itself as one of the great whites of Piedmont and Italy. On the nose, it reveals an intense floral and fruity bouquet, with complementary hints of honey and slight notes of flint stone on the finish. On the palate, it is complex, full-bodied and warm, the sip is material and persistent. A wine of substance that pairs well with intense dishes, such as veal with tuna sauce, or with spicy dishes.
