The Trebbiano Spoletino “Terra dei Preti” from Collecapretta is a macerated white wine, produced by a family winery that has been working with artisanal care since 2005. The name "Terra dei Preti" derives from the historical presence of many members of the clergy in this area, which is thought to have been a place of spiritual retreat and religious training. To honor this historical significance, this wine is not lacking in structure: intense, savory, and full of energy. Notes of ripe yellow fruit and Mediterranean scrub accompany the sip to the persistent finish.

The Trebbiano Spoletino ‘Terra dei Preti’ is a complex and expressive orange wine made by the Umbrian winery Collecapretta. Trebbiano Spoletino is an indigenous grape variety from Umbria that is part of the large family of Trebbiani, appreciated for its ability to produce full-bodied yet fresh wines, often characterized by intense aromas of tropical fruit. The Collecapretta winery is located in Terzo La Pieve, a hamlet of the municipality of Spoleto, where among other varieties it cultivates Trebbiano Spoletino, a historical witness of the connection with the territory. The name ‘Terra dei Preti’ refers to the fact that the area from which the grapes come has always been characterized by a widespread presence of the clergy.

The ‘Terra dei Preti’ Trebbiano Spoletino from Collecapretta originates from only Trebbiano Spoletino grapes coming from a selection of the oldest vines on the estate. The plants, managed according to highly sustainable viticulture, are rooted in clayey soils at about 500 meters above sea level. The bunches are hand-picked at full ripeness and are then transferred to the winery where alcoholic fermentation occurs spontaneously thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts, combined with over 10 days of skin maceration. Subsequently, the wine matures for several months in vitrified concrete tanks until the final bottling, which takes place without prior filtration and without the addition of sulfites.

Collecapretta Trebbiano Spoletino ‘Terra dei Preti’ has a radiant amber yellow color. Intense and seductive hints of ripe apricot, orange peel, and exotic fruits characterize the olfactory profile, enriched by sensations of Mediterranean scrub. The sip is fresh, energetic, and very savory, with a soft finish and remarkable aromatic persistence.
