The Valpolicella by Corte Giara is a red wine from Veneto made from Corvina and Rondinella grapes, aged for a short period in steel tanks to maintain an intense and pleasant fruity fragrance. It has aromas of cherries and black pepper, with hints of herbal notes, and it unfolds in a balanced sip between softness and freshness.
The Corte Giara Valpolicella is the most classic and traditional wine of Valpolicella. The magnificent hilly area to the northeast of the city of Verona has always expressed wines of great freshness and fruity fragrance, of medium structure, and endowed with a pleasant drinkability. It is a label made with the traditional red grape varieties typical of the area: Corvina Veronese and Rondinella. The vinification takes place exclusively in steel, allowing the varietal characteristics of the grapes to shine, producing a young, direct, and immediate red.
The Corte Giara Valpolicella is born in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica territory, where the Allegrini Family manages a historic estate. The property extends over a total area of more than 100 hectares, concentrated mainly in the areas of Sant’Ambrogio and Fumane. The vineyards are cultivated with the varieties historically present in the area, which are still the basis of the great wines of Valpolicella. The soils, predominantly limestone-based and rich in skeleton, along with the beautiful sunny exposures, characterized by a mild and breezy climate, thanks to the presence of the nearby Lake of Garda, allow the grapes to mature perfectly with intense aromatic profiles. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, and the wine rests for several months in steel before being bottled.
The Corte Giara wine from the historic and renowned Allegrini winery is a beautiful version of the wine that has made the history of this territory, before the production of Amarone and Ripasso was introduced in more recent times. In the glass, it presents a bright ruby red color, with youthful violet hues. The bouquet expresses fragrant aromas of cherry, marasca, small red fruits, hints of aromatic herbs, and delicate spices. The sip is lively, with a crunchy fruit and a salty finish of great freshness.
