The Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore by Antolini is an intense and full-bodied red wine from Veneto made from Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes, aged for 12 months in oak and cherry barrels. With a clear and bright ruby red color, it expresses aromas of raspberries, blackberries, and sour cherries enriched with spicy notes of vanilla and cloves, while on the palate it is full and fresh, with embracing tannins and great softness, with excellent sapidity.

The Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore Antolini is a rich and intense red wine, produced with the typical grapes of the Veronese territory: Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella. Although it is the youngest wine in terms of age from Valpolicella, it has quickly become famous all over the world. It was born from the brilliant idea of “repassing” the classic Valpolicella over the fresh pomace of Amarone, in order to enrich the wine with body, structure, and complex aromas and scents. A true younger brother of Amarone, which pairs very well with meat dishes, even important ones.

The Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore by Antolini originates from the estate located in Marano, right in the heart of Valpolicella. Nine hectares of vineyards, cultivated at an altitude ranging from 150 to 350 meters above sea level, on magnificent hilly slopes, often terraced with dry stone walls. The vines are located in the territory of the municipalities of Marano, San Pietro, and Negrar and are cultivated both with the traditional Veronese pergola system and Guyot. The mild and breezy climate, with strong thermal excursions and the suitable soils of calcareous-clay origin create an ideal habitat for obtaining high-quality red grapes. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts. The wine is then “repassed” for the second fermentation over the pomace of Amarone and Recioto for about a week. The wine matures for 12 months in oak and cherry barrels before being bottled.

The Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore by Antolini is the perfect expression of the traditional characteristics of the beautiful hilly territory of Valpolicella. An area famous for the production of great wines even in the times of the Ancient Romans and which today has conquered markets all over the world. The wine has an intense and bright ruby red color. The bouquet is rich, with aromas of sour cherries, dark berries, vanilla, and spices. The entry on the palate is harmonious and soft, with broad and complex aromas, a velvety tannic structure, a balanced and very persistent finish.
