The Valpolicella Ripasso "La Groletta" is a soft and round red wine produced in the Corte Giara estate of the Allegrini family, aged in Slavonian oak barrels for about a year. Enveloping aromas of sour cherries, red fruit and sweet spices follow in a tasting with body, richness and balance

The Valpolicella Ripasso "La Groletta" by Corte Giara is a red wine where the fleshy and well-ripened fruit combines on the nose with sweet spices and delicate nuances of herbal notes. It comes from a territorial blend, where Corvina and Rondinella are cultivated by Allegrini within the estates of Corte Giara to create a wine of high value, suitable for daily consumption thanks to the very interesting price at which it is offered. Elegant and eclectic, it has a modern appeal, making it a wildcard in the kitchen.

The Corte Giara "La Groletta" is a Valpolicella Ripasso that originates from a characteristic cut of the Veneto terroir, Corvina, present in the final blend at 70%, and Rondinella. The vines of these two indigenous varieties grow in the Corte Giara estate using the pergola system, within a vineyard exposed to the southeast and characterized by the presence of limestone in the subsoil. The grapes are harvested by hand during the first week of October, and once they arrive at the winemaking facilities, they are destemmed. The The grapes are gently pressed, and the must obtained undergoes a first fermentation in steel; the refermentation occurs on the dried skins of Amarone, thus following the typical production criteria of Ripasso. Finally, the aging follows, in which the wine rests for 11 months in Slavonian oak barrels.

This Valpolicella Ripasso "La Groletta" Corte Giara presents itself in the glass with a deep and concentrated ruby red color. The captivating array of aromas enveloping the nose resonates with initially fruity notes, then moving towards a combination of spicy sensations and touches of herbal notes. On the palate, it is of medium structure, soft, with a round sip that satisfies the drink thanks also to a nice acidic vein. A red that bears the signature of Allegrini, a great name in Italian wine that confirms itself with a product of high quality standards.
