The Verdicchio Classico Superiore "Federico II" by Montecappone is a fresh and intense version of this famous Marchigiana type. Made exclusively in steel, it stands out for its clean, clear, and fruity aromatic profile, with distinct hints of exotic fruit and sage, and menthol notes in the background. On the palate, it is agile, smooth, and typically almond-like in the finish.

vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks with a controlled temperature alcoholic fermentation, then it ages for 4-5 months on the lees, before being bottled, in order to enhance its varietal qualities and make it particularly recognizable.

Montecappone gives us with its “Federico II” a particularly long-lived Verdicchio Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore, despite the labels obtained from this grape variety having been considered ready to drink for years. On the contrary, the straw yellow color and the structure of this Verdicchio confirm excellent sensations that can only be obtained with a relatively prolonged aging in the cellar. The green notes of chlorophyll are combined with tropical fruit, anise, and a hint of sage; on the palate it is clean, crisp with a good acidic backbone and a pleasant almond finish. In the name of a man of great culture, a patron of scholars and writers, a toast to “Federico II”.
