"Viscà" by Cascina Fornace is an easy and graceful redversion according to Enrico Cauda. Obviusly bottled in 1 liter bottle, is characterized by a gastronomic and lively profile, chewy and chock-full of freshness. Blunt and sincere, plenty of ripe red fruits, fresh violet and underbrush surrounded by rustic and vinous undertones that open to a full, refreshing and compelling sip.

The Viscà from Cascina Fornace is undoubtedly a daily wine of the heart, a true marvel on the everyday table. Conviviality and carefree spirit encapsulated in the most suitable format for a liquid that makes drinkability its strong point, namely the one-liter bottle. Enrico Cauda, a true reference point of the Roero area, does not aspire to the idea of making pretentious and caricatured wines, but aims to enhance an area that has long been unjustly overlooked, also because it is overshadowed by the more famous cousins from the Langhe. To pursue his intent, he has therefore decided to adopt a sensitive approach, which excludes the use of any chemical or synthetic substances in the vineyard, and continues consistently in the winery. Labels like this perfectly summarize, in our opinion, the point of conjunction between simplicity and enormous personality. A must-have given the quality-price ratio.

The red Viscà is obtained from grapes coming from vineyards that are about forty years old, located on sandy soils with a steep slope. In the vineyard, sustainable agriculture practices are followed and in the winery, the aim is to intervene as little as possible. The details of sustainable agriculture continue in the winery, aiming to intervene as little as possible. The fermentations are therefore spontaneous, carried out by only indigenous yeasts, in steel and concrete tanks without temperature control. The liquid before bottling is neither filtered nor clarified.

The wine Viscà from Cascina Fornace fills the glass with its compact ruby red appearance. Direct and fragrant nose, where distinct hints of marasca, licorice, and dog rose emerge, along with a very personal earthy note. The sip is fleshy, yet at the same time elegant and juicy, driven by a satisfying freshness that makes it a valid ally at the table. Medium-bodied with fine legs.
