Cà du Ferrà

Cà du Ferrà was born from Davide Zoppi's love for his land, a passion shared with his husband Giuseppe Luciano Aieta. Together they chose to recover the ancient terraced vineyards of Bonassola to create a project made of dedication and heroic viticulture. We are on the Riviera di Levante, between the Gulf of Poets and the Gulf of Tigullio, where the steep slopes overlook the Mediterranean. The vineyards rise on terraces supported by ancient dry stone walls, where traditional varieties are cultivated strictly following the natural rhythm of the seasons.

The production philosophy of Cà du Ferrà weaves care, innovation, and respect for the territory into an approach that preserves the memory of the past and honors the daily work, aiming to return typical expressions of indigenous varieties, adapted to the unique microclimate of the area. The cover crops enrich the soil and allow for the almost total abandonment of synthetic chemicals. The work in the vineyard is entirely without agricultural machinery, as a sign of respect for the land. Artificial intelligence supports decisions on treatments and irrigation interventions, interpreting the data meteorological data accurately. The winery also benefits from the support of beekeeping: the bees ensure pollination and biodiversity, weaving invisible links between species. In the winery, the collaboration with winemaker Graziana Grassini, a professional with decades of experience, was born to ensure stylistic coherence and quality.

The wines of Cà du Ferrà uncompromisingly express the truest soul of Bonassola. The traditional Ligurian varieties, cultivated on the slopes overlooking the Mediterranean, develop unique organoleptic characteristics, influenced by the proximity to the sea, constant ventilation, and the temperature range between day and night. Therefore, fresh and marine whites or traditional passito wines are produced based on the classics Albarola, Bosco, and Vermentino, but the winery is also at the forefront of the rediscovery of forgotten grape varieties such as Ruzzese. The production reflects the philosophy of the winery: wines that speak of light, wind, and sea, the result of artisanal work that transforms each harvest into an authentic story of the Riviera di Levante.
