Cascina Faletta
Cascina Faletta is located among the gentle hills of Monferrato, just outside Casale Monferrato, in a land rich in history and winemaking vocation. A ceramic plaque, still visible on the entrance portal today, indicates 1881 as the year of the estate's foundation, which has since preserved memories and stories of those who have lived it. The current owners, Elena Novarino and Giovanni Rosso, have breathed new life into the farmhouse with a renovation faithful to the past, maintaining period floors, ceilings, and furnishings. Among the most evocative episodes is the discovery of three crossed rifles hidden in a secret room, now a symbol of the logo. Their vision has transformed this place into a wine tourism excellence: an elegant and authentic wine cellar, with a wine resort, swimming pool, and restaurant, which has now become a reference point for those seeking the deepest soul of Monferrato.
Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, vinified in purity or in blends. The clayey-silty soils, rich in minerals, are the result of an ancient geological evolution, which has made this area perfect for viticulture. The cellar, completely underground, operates in the name of sustainability, thanks to geothermal and solar systems that ensure an environmental impact of zero. The young Lorenzo Rosso, son of the owners and winemaker, has brought a new and cosmopolitan vision, returning after traveling the world: today he passionately leads every phase of production, from vineyard to glass, always with a keen eye on the territory.
Among the labels of the cellar, Braja and Baudolino stand out, respectively a Barbera del Monferrato and a Grignolino from the estate's oldest vineyards, vinified in steel to enhance their varietal freshness. No less interesting are the sparkling wine Marchesa Virginia, dedicated to the first owner of the farmhouse, and Myricae, a white wine inspired by the poetry of Giovanni Pascoli. Cascina Faletta is not just a place where wine is produced: it is a narrative made of family stories, memory, and innovation, an ideal destination for those who want to experience a complete journey through food and wine, hospitality, and nature. Each bottle is a tribute to the past and the territory, a liquid story that tells itself with elegance and authenticity.
