Le Ragose winery is located in Arbizzano di Negrar, not far from the beautiful city of Verona. We are in Valpolicella, where in 1969 Arnaldo Galli, an enologist, decided, together with his wife Marta, to buy some hectares of land to start producing wines under the name of "Le Ragose", a hamlet where the winery is located. Today, almost fifty years later, it is Arnaldo's sons, Paolo and Marco, who carry on a path that aims to combine innovation and experimentation with the typical characteristics of the great red wines that see the light of day in this part of the Veneto region. Paolo is mainly in charge of business development, while Marco, an agronomist and oenologist, carefully follows the production phase.

Today, Le Ragose is developed on 18 hectares of vineyards, within which the cultivation of native grape varieties is preferred. Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella are thus the main players, to which is added a very small percentage of the vineyard destined for Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are trained using the simple Trentino pergola system, and the position of the plots where they grow is ideal for enjoying the breezes that blow through the hills, perfect for encouraging that withering that is fundamental to the creation of Amarone. Fertilizing, winter and green pruning, stripping and thinning the bunches of grapes are all done with great care, so as to favor the best conditions for the growth and ripening to each bunch. In the winery, fermentations take place thanks to indigenous yeasts, and aging is carried out in oak barrels of different capacity and age, so that the terroir characteristics emerge clearly, without being covered by excessive tertiary aromas.

The Le Ragose winery produces exclusively red wines each year. Labels with unique flavors that reflect the terroir and the grapes that make them up, and are an expression of Paolo and Marco Galli's great commitment. Bottles in line with the great Venetian tradition, from Valpolicella Classico to Ripasso, passing through Recioto to the great Amarone, where dreams finally become reality.

"La qualità di un vino è un concetto inscindibile dal luogo d'origine delle uve e dalle persone che lo producono"
