Oenosapiens
Three friends, three oenologists, three different but complementary styles. Filippo, Federico and Giacomo share a common vision of wine as an authentic expression of the territory, but each of them brings a personal imprint to the project, the result of unique training and professional paths. Filippo has a refined and elegant approach, matured through his experiences in the Tuscan hills, Bordeaux, the Rhone Valley and the Jura. Federico, more instinctive and passionate, developed a particular sensitivity for Malbec during his years in Cahors and Argentina. Giacomo, a profound connoisseur of the market and the Piedmontese wine world, is the strategic mind of the group, with a visceral passion for wines that speak with sincerity of the place from which they come.
Underlying the work of Oenosapiens is a strong collaboration with the artisans of the vineyard: small producers who work with sustainable methods and who share the same concern for the identity of the wine. With them, the trio builds each label from listening to and respecting nature, allowing the wine to be born spontaneously, without forcing, with natural indigenous yeasts and without chemical interventions. Each bottle thus tells a story of hands, soils and seasons, in a balance between technique and intuition that reflects the team's uniqueness.
The first label launched by the Oenosapiens project is the 'R-Evolution' Malbec, a red wine of exceptional freshness and vivacity, characterised by fruity, floral and delicately spiced aromas. Furthermore, in order to favour environmental sustainability, 'R-Evolution' was packaged by hand using wax instead of the more polluting aluminium usually used to make capsules. The second label is the Poulsard from the Jura which is to all intents and purposes a summer wine, fresh and drinkable, to be drunk at cooler temperatures by the pool, as the amusing label also suggests! Finally, the last gem is the Chenin Blanc 'Samurai', a distinctly mineral white, taut, sharp and vertical, just like the Samurai's blade!
