Valmori
History
Valmori is a winery from Verona that thrives on two complementary souls: the taut whites of Lugana and the characterful reds from the hills of Veronese. Between the gentle shores of Lake Garda and the slopes rising towards Valpolicella, the house gathers the best of two worlds, the lake's freshness and the warmth of the hills. It is a project with a contemporary flair, looking at the great winemaking tradition of Verona with a keen eye on conviviality, with labels designed to be enjoyed at the table as well as among friends. The result is a direct and sunny style, a reflection of a generous and welcoming land.
Vineyards
Valmori draws from two distinct terroirs of Veronese. On the shores of Garda, the morainic and pebbly soils, well-drained and softened by the lake breeze, give the Turbiana of Lugana momentum and sapidity. Further north, on the hills of Valpolicella, the limestone and volcanic soils enhance the indigenous red grapes, Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella. Here, a portion of the bunches is reserved for appassimento in fruttaio, with which Amarone and Ripasso are produced, multiplying the sweetness, substance, and power of indigenous grapes. Two different landscapes, one meticulous care for the vineyard.
Wines
At Valmori winery, different tools are adopted for two different objectives: steel to protect the momentum and minerality of the whites and the fruit of the lighter reds, wood to shape the structure and breath of the aging reds. These are labels that aim to create a sip with clear fruit, without sacrificing structure and complexity. A versatile style, able to transition effortlessly from aperitif to an important table, in search of the unmistakable accent of Verona.
