Cialla Bianco Ronchi di Cialla 2023

The Ciallabianco is the flagship white wine of the renowned Friulian winery, a synthesis of finesse and sapidity. For about 50 years, the Ronchi di Cialla winery has been known among wine enthusiasts for the consistent quality of the liquids produced. At the heart of the winery is a strong belief in creating products with a strong connection to the territory while maintaining a certain stylistic recognizability. There is ample space for local indigenous grape varieties such as Refosco, Schioppettino, Picolit, Verduzzo, and Ribolla, all cultivated according to the principles of organic farming. Today, the winery spans 26 hectares in Prepotto, Udine, and stands as a reference point for more experienced tasters while also being able to win over those who are just starting out.

The Ciallabianco wine is made from a blend predominantly consisting of Ribolla, as well as Verduzzo and Picolit. The grapes, harvested at full ripeness, come from vineyards cultivated following organic farming practices. The blend is fermented in barrique, with the liquid aging in the same barrels for a duration of 11 months. It further ages for 6-12 months in glass.before being marketed. Like all the wines from the winery, it has an excellent aging potential.

The Ciallabianco fills the glass with its straw-yellow hues. A wine that, despite the very wide variety of descriptors, always maintains a whispered and delicate progression. It unfolds in succession notes of baked pear, acacia honey, hawthorn, and other notes due to aging in wood with vanilla and cotton candy. A sip entirely played on the harmony of perceptions, perfectly balanced between body and the contribution of freshness and sapidity. If virtue lies in the middle, this bottle is a most fitting example.
