The Fleurie by Jean Foillard is an exceptional Beaujolais produced in the Fleurie designation. This red comes from an area known for its finesse, thanks to the pink granite present in the sustainably cultivated soils of this domaine.  On the nose, floral notes of violet and red fruits emerge, along with aromatic herbs and subtle, intriguing smoky hints. On the palate, it surprises with a velvety and vibrant structure, enriched by a pleasant freshness and delicate tannins. A balanced wine with a very fine texture

The Fleurie from the French winemaker Jean Foillard is a pure and authentic expression of this refined cru of Beaujolais, one of the most prestigious in the area. Jean Foillard is among the pioneers of artisanal wines in Beaujolais, successfully revitalizing the family Domaine in the 1980s, influenced by Jules Chauvet and Marcel Lapierre, renowned artisanal and traditional producers of the region. For his genuine and high-quality approach, along with Marcel Lapierre, Guy Breton, and Jean-Paul Thévenet, Jean Foillard formed in the 1980s the so-called "gang of four" of Beaujolais, true protagonists of the wine renaissance in the area.

Jean Foillard Fleurie is a 100% Gamay from vines cultivated according to the principles of organic farming within the lieu-dit Champagne, characterized by a high presence of pink granite sand in the soils. The harvest is carried out strictly by hand, and the bunches are then vinified whole through spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with semi-carbonic cold maceration. Subsequently, the mass is aged.for 9 months in oak barrels, after which bottling takes place without any filtration.

In the glass, Jean Foillard's Fleurie reveals a pale ruby red hue. The aromatic profile carries scents of cherry, blueberry, violet, and thyme, enriched by spicy suggestions and hints of charcoal. Clean and crisp on the palate, where soft and integrated tannins accompany juicy freshness in a silky progression, very persistent and balanced. This Fleurie represents an excellent pairing with dishes based on white or red meats such as rabbit and lamb, as well as with tasty platters of aged cheeses and cured meats.
