Les Grimaudes" is an expressive and delicate red wine, the brainchild of Marc Kreydenweiss, a historic Alsatian artisan winery who decided to start a new project tens of kilometers from the Languedoc to pay homage to the red wines of the small denomination of the Costières de Nîmes . The result is a red with a refined and elegant charm, with the characteristics of Languedoc: rich, warm and full-bodied. Artisanal and Organic wine

Marc Kreydenweiss presents ‘Les Grimaudes’, an artisanal French bottle, resulting from a complex blend of indigenous black grape varieties, which stands out for its fruity and gently spiced aromatic profile. Acquired in 1999 from the family-run Alsatian winery Marc Kreydenweiss, the Domaine des Perrières, located between the cities of Nimes and Arles in Languedoc, already had old vines of Carignano, Syrah, and Grenache, to which a new planting of Mourvedre was immediately added. All vineyards are managed according to the principles of organic and biodynamic farming, in order to provide authentic expressions of the territory. “Grimaudes” is a French word that means “climbers”.

The Marc Kreydenweiss ‘Les Grimaudes’ consists of a blend of Carignano, Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre grapes, sourced from vineyards located on iron-rich soils composed of the so-called “gress”, a mix of flint, limestone, and sandstone. The agronomic management follows the principles of organic farming.certified organic and biodynamic. After manual harvesting and careful sorting, the grapes are crushed and spontaneously fermented at controlled temperatures, with a brief maceration on the skins. Subsequently, the wine is transferred to oak barrels for one year of aging.

The artisanal wine from Languedoc 'Les Grimaudes' by Domaine des Perrieres of Marc Kreydenweiss has an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it evokes aromas of plum, sour cherry, and dark fruit in general, associated with descriptors of sweet spices and toasted nuances. The taste, rich and elegant, is distinguished by warmth and softness, as well as mature tannins and an appealing mineral signature.
