The Morgon Classique by Jean Foillard is a French red wine made from Gamay grapes from the homonymous village located in Beaujolais, vinified through a cold semi-carbonic maceration and aged for a short time in oak barrels. It expresses territoriality and elegance through aromas of well-ripened red fruit, cherries and kirsch, along with earthy, spicy and mineral notes: on the palate it is wide, bright, full and flowing, with a fine tannic structure and a juicy and tireless drinkability.

non-interventionist and only a bit of copper and sulfur is used. In the cellar, the same method continues, with spontaneous fermentations and semi-carbonic maceration, a typical practice of the area. The liquid ages for 5 months in used oak barrels.

The red Morgon Classique already attracts with its visual appearance, in its bright and lively ruby dress. Engaging and varied nose, an open spectrum of raspberry, balsamic bursts, graphite, and incense. Rhythmic and juicy sip, very fresh, not lacking in structure but always perfectly balanced. The tannin is silky, never astringent, and the savory finish extends the persistence. A true French must, with a quality-price ratio decidedly skewed towards the former. Delicious.
