The Nebbiolo from the Produttori del Barbaresco is a red wine from the Langhe with a classic and traditional style, rounded by a short aging in oak barrels. The Langhe Nebbiolo from the important cooperative winery Produttori del Barbaresco is a bottle that stands out for its fresh and dynamic taste, characteristics that are the basis of its remarkable versatility and pleasantness. Officially founded in 1958, this Langhe production reality now counts more than 50 members and over 110 hectares of vineyards entirely dedicated to Nebbiolo, a grape variety that has managed to economically and socially uplift an entire territory. About 25% of the total production of the winery is destined for Langhe Nebbiolo, a label first produced with the 1975 vintage that offers a more accessible and immediate expression of this noble black grape variety.
Produttori del Barbaresco Langhe Nebbiolo is produced with only grapes of the same variety coming from the youngest vines cultivated in the various vineyards of the contributing members. The soils are mainly clayey-limestone while the exposures vary from south to east and west. Following the harvest, the bunches are vinified in red in cement tanks, with fermentation controlled temperature alcoholic fermentation, 20 days of maceration on the skins and complete malolactic fermentation. The subsequent maturation phase of 6 months takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels.
Visually, the Langhe Nebbiolo Produttori del Barbaresco expresses a transparent ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose is inviting with its intense aromas of ripe red fruits, white pepper, and anise, supported by hints of flowers and aromatic herbs. The sip, balanced and flavorful, reveals bright freshness and ripe tannins, with a long and pleasant fruity finish. This is a wine suitable for everyday use, capable of surprising when served at formal or informal dinners.
