Callmewine's FavouritesFrom our sommeliers
The Nizza 'Bansella' by Prunotto is an intense wine based on Barbera. It comes from grapes grown in the lands of Nizza Monferrato, an increasingly popular area responsible for producing the most intense quality reds of Monferrato. On the nose, it develops hints of dark fruit such as blackberry, blueberry, then flowers, licorice, and hints of sweet spices. On the palate, it is soft and full-bodied, very juicy, with freshness and velvety tannins, the sip is persistent and elegant.
Colour:
Very intense ruby red, with purple reflections.
Scent:
Hints of dark fruit such as blackberry, blueberry, then flowers and licorice are embraced by hints of cinnamon and vanilla, typical of the passage in wood, and slight peppery notes.
Taste:
Juicy, with tight but soft tannins, very balanced and persistent.
