NOBILE DI MONTEPULCIANO SALCHETO 2019 DESCRIPTION

This Nobile di Montepulciano is a Tuscan red wine with which the Salcheto winery confirms, year after year, its ability to present the Sangiovese grape. This is also due to a strictly organic approach in the vineyard, which is part of a broader vision in which the winery is at the center of a project where efficiency, energy savings, and autonomy are fundamental principles for giving rise to responsible production. A bottle in which the aromas become complex, while the drink warms the palate. Excellent scores have been recognized by the main sector guides, not only in Italy.

The Salcheto Nobile di Montepulciano is made using exclusively one of the most important red grape varieties in the entire Italian wine scene, Sangiovese, called Prugnolo Gentile in this area. This variety is cultivated by the Salcheto winery team observing the principles of organic farming, a true cornerstone of Michele Minelli's production philosophy. Once arrived in the rooms used for vinification, the berries are fermented in oak barrels. Aging is carried out both in tonneaux and barrels for 18 months and is crucial for expanding the range of aromas on the nose and the structure of the wine.

The Nobile di Montepulciano wine made by the Salcheto winery reveals itself to the eye with a decidedly intense and compact ruby red color. The bouquet of sensations that make up the olfactory profile moves on broad notes, in which fruit, flowers, and spices alternate in a whirlwind of very enveloping shades. On the palate, it is full-bodied, warm, captivating, with a sip characterized by a nice savory vein, well-balanced. A Tuscan red wine that is the fruit of the great bond between the winery, the territory, and Sangiovese, which reminds us of its origins and its identity.

When to open
To enjoy it at its best, we recommend you to let the wine 'breathe' at least 1 or 2 hours before serving
When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied red wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion
