Nozze d'Oro has in its DNA the celebration of happy and fruitful unions: it is in fact a label that is dedicated by Count Giuseppe Tasca to his wife Franca, after half a century of life spent together, but it is also a wine that celebrates a union between two grape varieties, Inzolia and Sauvignon. A product that is born in a splendid landscape, that of the Regaleali Estate, from which emerges all the know-how of a winery that has been dedicated to the production of great Sicilian wines for as many as eight generations, and which, over the decades, has become a point of reference in the national and international wine scene.
The Tasca d'Almerita winery confirms its mastery in combining native and international grape varieties, as in the blend that gives rise to Nozze d'Oro, a blend where Inzolia forms the backbone on which a 25 percent Sauvignon is grafted. The grapes come from the Regaleali Estate, and are grown in vineyards located at an elevation between 450 and 900 meters above sea level; after the harvest, the berries ferment in stainless steel tanks, at a controlled temperature of 16-18 degrees, without carrying out malolactic fermentation, and, again in steel, they remain to age on the lees for 4-5 months, and then are bottled.
The Nozze d'Oro made by the Tasca d'Almerita winery manifests itself in the glass with a decidedly vivid and intense straw yellow color. Delicious are the scents that envelop the nose, where it is fruit, even exotic fruit, that manifests itself with the most intense notes, while, in the background, a nuance reminiscent of honey peeps out. The palate is full-bodied, round, balanced, with a sip that awakens the senses thanks to its freshness. A label with which you really always go on the safe side, to be chosen to treat yourself to an evening where good wine should not be missing.
