Rioja 'Rosado' Binario 2023
Exclusive winery
Organic and biodynamicThe Rioja 'Rosado' Binario is a juicy, rich, and fruity rosé wine produced in Spain from Garnacha. On the nose, notes of berries, grapefruit peel, and floral hints stand out, inviting a fresh and smooth sip. It has excellent balance between the richness of the fruit and the delicacy of its citrus tones, making it perfect for a fish dinner, or it can become the perfect summer aperitif!
The ‘Binario’ Rioja Rosado by de Andrés Sisters is a fresh and balanced rosé wine produced in Rioja Baja from only Garnacha grapes. The ‘Binario’ range comes from vineyards in Rioja that have been sustainably cultivated for over 20 years by the Serrano Arriezu brothers, pioneers of organic viticulture in the area. In fact, brothers Luis, Andres, and Ramon started managing their vineyards organically in Rioja Baja when this method of cultivation was still a novelty. The name ‘Binario’ expresses this collaboration between two realities united by the same sustainable and genuine winemaking vision.
Rioja Rosado ‘Binario’ de Andrés Sisters is a 100% Garnacha Tinta from vineyards cultivated according to the principles of certified organic farming in the southern part of Rioja, the so-called Rioja Baja. Here, the climate is warmer and Mediterranean, and the vines benefit from the clayey matrix of the soils, which are also rich in limestone. Once the grapes reach the ideal stage of ripeness, they are harvested and thus vinified as rosé through a short skin maceration. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, the same type of containers where the mass matures for a few months before the final bottling.
Visually, the Rosado Rioja ‘Binario’ from the de Andrés Sisters wine project presents itself with an intense and bright pink color. On the nose, sensations of berries alternate with citrus notes and pleasant floral aromas. On the palate, it reveals excellent balance and dynamism, with a juicy freshness that accompanies the crunchy fruity finish. The recommendation is to pair this rosé with various seafood dishes or with not overly aged cheeses and cold cuts.
